Each page of the original was photographed and the photographic image was then scanned. The means of consulting this dictionary are in principle no different from the printed original. Minsheu's dictionary is in its own right a powerful and efficient search engine; the text on each of its pages is divided into three columns and at the top of each column there are three-character guide letters (headers).
